Deeper Matters

I’m an avid gym-goer. I’ve been this way since I lost 100 pounds 17 years ago and then gained the inner healing, freedom, and skills needed to maintain it. Because of my experience with extreme body transformation, one of my favorite parts of the gym is watching people in the gym. I see so many different kinds.

The first are those who just started. I can tell fitness is a brand-new world for them. There’s a lack of knowledge about being in a gym they carry. It’s that awkward, insecure, unsure look of, “Why am I here?! Will this work?! Am I even doing this right?!”

Then there are those who I believe it is their job to work out and maintain massive amounts of muscle or train for a marathon. The level of dedication and self-discipline is impressive. It’s a chore and a true science to dedicate that much of yourself to split schedules and macronutrients.

Of course, then there are those like me. We’ve tired various types of fitness- walking, running, lifting, HITT, Pilates, yoga, and so on. But, somewhere in the midst of it all, we’ve realized, “Staying active is a vital part of life. I need to show up for longevity’s sake.”

Lately, as I’ve watched the different types of gym-goers, I’ve been thinking deeply about life with Holy Spirit. There are so many different kinds of people in different stages of their relationship with him. Some are just starting out. Others are more intense. And then, again, there are the ones like me who have walked through various seasons of life with Holy Spirit and learned that a steady, harmonious relationship with him is vital for maintaining a full life.

Now, for me, the challenging part of remaining in a steady and harmonious relationship with Holy Spirit is choosing to show up… Even when he’s asking me to follow him into “deeper matters.”

Recently he said, “We are going deeper. I’m going to need more of your time.”

I responded, “Deeper?! I don’t know if deeper is something I want to do right now. I don’t know how much more I can take on. You’ve already given me so much to be responsible for- spiritually and physically.”

His immediate response, “Your value is the deeper matter. Your value needs to increase. Your value will increase as you search out the deeper layers of it with me.

This will be a different journey with value than you’ve gone on thus far. It’s a journey that will lead you into a version of yourself that demands the excellence of the value I am calling you too.

As you pursue value in a deeper way, the frequency and vibration of your being will change.”

Usually, when Holy Spirit mentions my frequency and vibration changing, I am excited. But this time was different, something in me immediately sat tall and felt a sense of reverential fear that I hadn’t ever really felt before. It caused me to feel a little bit of fear.

He quickly responded, “Amanda, this change isn’t scary. You might seem scary to others because of the power of the value you’ll soon walk in, but it isn’t scary for you to pursue this value. So, you need to pursue it with all of yourself and do not be afraid of the change inside of your being.

There is a fear encroached around you right now because you are somewhat hesitant to step into the next. The next is so new and so uncharted that it truly causes your heart to feel somewhat of an imbalance. You’ve been searching for a way for your heart to feel immediately secure and not questioning what you are stepping into.

I am telling you to explore the deeper matters of value. Exploring the deeper matters of value will cause this hesitation to vanish because you will see how strong your value truly is.

Amanda, we are focused in on what’s of the spirit, not what’s of the soul. The spirit is the currency you are trading in. It’s the currency that is going to press you into the next with each and every endeavor that is ahead of you.

Yes, the challenges and warfare ahead are real, but the authority you walk in has a high value. The currency of the frequency is high standing. You need to step out and step into it.

As you do this, life will follow. It will brim and bubble and illuminate in ways and form you’ve never quite imagined. Then and only then can the glory and power you have been in deep, deep pursuit of begin to manifest in accordance with my plan and purpose.

So, step out of the hesitancy and step into the deeper matters of value.”

I don’t know where you are with Holy Spirit right now. Life with him might be a “brand new world” where you feel awkward, insecure, unsure, and wondering, “Why am I here?! Will this work?! Am I even doing this right?!”

But then you also might be in the place I’m in, a place where he’s asking more from you than you feel like you have to give. (You’ll notice, he didn’t care about my excuses when I said, “I don’t know if deeper is something I want to do right now. I don’t know how much more I can take on. You’ve already given me so much to be responsible for- spiritually and physically.” Instead, he kept talking and instructed me to the next).

No matter where you are growing with him, I hope my choice to step out and into the next inspires you to do the same. I hope that when you are faced with the challenging obstacles, he’s presented for you to grow into, that you take them on with a cheerful heart and a mindset that says, “I can do this. I can grow, and then eventually mature into more. I am made for the increase.” And, most importantly, I hope you feel like you can keep doing life with him because doing so is elevating your existence and bringing a higher level of peace, joy, and prosperity to multiple areas of your spirit, soul, heart, and body.
